Working to ensure all communities within the United States are educated and prepared, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has released a set of tools, services and assistance to level the playing field.
It’s no secret that any part of society that is less prepared for a cyber attack has less of a chance to defend itself — which potentially puts all of us at risk.
So, CISA began placing some of their focus on high-risk communities within the United States.
Their latest move is the release of a set of resources in conjunction with the public-private cybersecurity collaborative known as the Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative designed to specifically help the individuals and organizations within these communities.
Included in this resource set are:
- Tools used to educate individuals, help them assess their cyber readiness, and guides to improve their personal state of cyber security
- Tools for organizations designed to assess risk, enhance security postures and improve data governance
- Helplines, email contacts, online communities and other communication resources where individuals and organizations can connect with experts to assist in preparation for and in response to cyber attacks
- Free tools and services (as well as some that do require a pre-existing paid service) to improve individual states of cyber defense
In addition, CISA’s High-Risk Communities page continually provides updated content, news and events to keep those living and working in these communities up to date on cyber readiness and defenses in a single place on the web.
