Security Companies Help Users Recover Files Locked by CryptoLocker

decryptlogosResearchers at FireEye and Fox-IT have managed to obtain the private encryption keys that the malware uses to lock files.

They are offering people whose files have been locked by CryptoLocker ransomware a free service to recover those files. Until now, those who had the misfortune of being victims of the malware had to choose to pay the ransom demanded or consider the files gone forever.
