It’s the 22nd annual SysAdmin Day, a day when we celebrate all of the incredible System Administrators! While your job may not be easy (and sometimes not glamorous), your work on the maintenance of your company's computer operations should definitely be celebrated.
With the COVID-19 pandemic still continuing this year, there have been several hoops that have been thrown at you. From a completely fully remote workforce to a hybrid or fully back in the office environment, you have had to work hard to ensure cybersecurity disasters do not strike.
We’ve been very busy on the community forum Spiceworks to provide SysAdmins with helpful advice you can utilize in your day to day operations:
- I wrote about social engineering trends to consider
- Roger Grimes discussed password safety tips and why you should change your password every year
- Javvad Malik wrote about helpful tips for SysAdmins that are responsible for managing supply chain security
- James McQuiggan gave insight on three main reasons why SysAdmins are important to an organization's cybersecurity program
We also created a video to say thank you from Javvad Malik and Erich Kron:
If you want to be the master of your IT universe, we created a free resource kit just for you! This resource kit is packed with free on-demand webinars, a new whitepaper, video, tip sheet, and three recommended infographics. You can request access to the resource kit here.
We really appreciate everything you do to ensure your users are able to safely work everyday with no complications. So go ahead and enjoy your cake today and eat it too, you definitely deserve it!
Happy SysAdmins Day!
